Fall equinox tomorrow, the marker between the lengthy days of light and heat and the transition towards the dark days of winter ahead. The end of another summer season.
More thoughts to share, but for now I just wanted to send a quick note to recognize this seasonal transition and invite you to join us at the farm for our final pizza night of the year: next Saturday, September 28 from 5-8pm.
The field continues to flourish, though the cooler days are already beginning to slow the plants as they make their final push in this last month before frost. Zinnias, dahlias, marigolds and celosia continue to bloom in their brilliant shades and brighten the field. Jupiter the goat is nearly bursting - her belly round and full of life, though her milk has yet to drop. Everyday I wake wondering if there will be a pair of fresh baby goats to admire. The cycles of life continue to amaze me. An honor to be able to bear witness to these seasons, and have the chance to share them with you.
Hope to see you on the 28th!
